The Telescoping Portable Grab Bar from Bridge Medical is a flexible safety handle in the bathroom for those who have balance issues or who have suffered an injury. The grab bar can be adjusted between 48 and 61cm.

Benefits of the Telescoping Portable Grab Bar

This device is ideal if you need extra assistance getting in and out of the bathtub or shower. The rail is a versatile addition for the elderly, disabled, those with limited mobility or recovering from an injury that need some extra assistance in slippery areas. Although falls can happen anywhere, bathrooms with their wet, slippery surfaces can be extremely hazardous. Shower grab bars can help reduce the risk of a fall or slip in the bathroom. Improving bathroom safety will help you stay out of harm's way. By installing this particular portable grab rail in strategic positions in the shower or around the bathtub, you can prevent most falls and slips.

Installation of the Portable Grab Bar

The Telescoping Portable Grab Bar from Bridge Medical can be installed diagonally, horizontally or vertically to suit your needs.

To mount the bathroom device, you don’t need any tools: simply press the grab rail in the bathroom or shower wall and secure the lock in place with the latches. Thanks to the ultra-strong suction cups, it will attach on any non-porous, flat surface without damaging the underground. It can be secured on many surfaces such as tiles, glass, fiberglass or acrylic.

If you need to reposition the grab rail, just lift the latch. It will not harm the surface or leave any marks behind.

It can be mounted at any angle by following these steps. First: Clean the surface area and the suction cups. Then press the suction cups into place. And finally, flip down the locking latches. Make sure the suction cups are not installed on the seams of the tiles! If the tiles are porous or have a slight texture, the suction will not work, unfortunately.

On a smooth, flat surface, the suction vacuum will hold for a very long time – sometimes even months. But, because all surfaces have a different porosity, we advise you to remove and reset your Telescoping Portable Grab Bar for tiles every few weeks to ensure a secure hold.
